Please type the total amount you would like reimbursed (in the event of a claim) per traveler. The trip cost is the Total Amount eligible for reimbursement if your trip is cancelled or interrupted due to one of the covered reasons in your policy. If there are multiple travelers in your party please click on add a traveler and complete each travelers age and trip cost information.
For example: the total flight and ground portion of your trip (hotels and tour expenses etc...) is all part of the trip cost. However, you may enter any amount you wish. We recommend insuring your full pre-paid nonrefundable trip cost. If you only require medical or evacuation coverage to obtain a Visa, please type in $0 for trip cost. In the event you cancelled your trip before departing, you are unable to claim cash back for any portion of your trip paid using air miles so you do not need to add this to your total. To receive adequate coverage in the event you have to return home during your trip (interruption), make sure your trip cost includes enough to purchase flights at short notice and reimburse you for the unused portion of your accommodation. Some insurance companies price in $500 bands so you could experiment on the pricing page to see if you can add more coverage for the same price.
